One of my goals during interviews is that I really hope that people take something with them about me that they wouldn't get just from looking at my portfolio. In order to brand myself, and tell my personal story, I made these takeaways as gifts for my interviewers. Throughout the years, I accumulate all sorts of process work, tiled work, wireframes, test prints etc. What I decided to do was chop up all of that process work and turn them into mini sketchbooks for my interviewers to look at. A lot of the process work that I have in those books, are the things that lead to the final pieces that appear in my portfolio.
On the inside of the book I silkscreened seven things you don't know about me. From always carrying a slinky to play collegiate soccer, I hope for you to take something unique from me, and look at me as a whole, rather than simply a designer. Since one of my favorite parts about being a designer is the initial concept development, I see it important to show those beginning process works.
